David Burrows feels as though he is the reason that his son is dead, as a father he is the protector of his son, so even if he did not kill him, he is at fault for his son's death. He will punish himself more for this than anybody else ever could.
Trust: When Rachel brings the photo of David's son to him, he has to trust his intuition in order to believe that his son is still alive. He also has to trust Rachel and the Warden in order to escape from prison and stay out long enough to find Matthew.
Desertion: While David is in jail, he has to deal with the thought of everyone thinking that he killed his own son. His wife, father, and all of the people he cares about believe that he killed Matthew and left him to die in his jail cell. Intelligence: David has to put his brain to the test when the FBI is on his back. These officers are very smart and are one mistake from finding where David is. Not only does David have to outsmart these officers, but Rachel and the Warden do as well. |
